Oil on Acrylic Primed Riverpoint Paper Mounted to Cradled Birch Plywood Panel

14" x 11.5"

Handmade Custom Elm Float Frame with Black Walnut Splines

Painted on location in Bellows Falls, VT in February of 2024 during an invited trip to the home and studio of artist Charlie Hunter. I painted alongside Douglas Fryer and John P. Lasater for three days. This painting was created from inside part of Charlie's studio looking out towards the river in Bellows Falls. I was drawn to the large abstract shapes of the window and the cool vivid shadow that was cast on the glass. I chose to paint on paper because its lightweight and easy to mount dry paintings to wood panels.
