I began building frames as a way to save money when I started to show my art 10 years ago. After years of trial and error, advice from wood shop technicians in school, and investing in materials and tools; I eventually gained more confidence and patience with woodworking. In the last year, I've used hardwoods sourced within Wisconsin including Maple, Oak, Cherry, Elm, Poplar, and Black Walnut. I finish the frames with a hand rubbed natural oil and wax coat to enhance the natural beauty of the color and grain in the wood. My goal is to create frames that are both simple and elegant.

While participating at plein air events and other exhibitions I've been asked by artists about selling frames. I'm not sure if I'll sell frames on a consistent schedule or long term, so if I have frames in stock its best to order early. To get updates on upcoming frame releases join my email list on the contact page. Here's a short slideshow with a few steps of my frame building process. (Don't forget I offer free US shipping on orders of $100 or more)
