The past two weeks have been super busy and eventful with plein air competitions!
The first in Cedarburg which was a week long event full of cold rainy days. I managed to make one large sunny farm scene painting that was picked for best of show!
The second event was in Jefferson, WI about 20 minutes south of Watertown where my mom and sister live. I got to spend a lot of time with my nephews and family after painting each day in 90+ degree heat! I had a blast and tested out some new composition ideas. It was an honor to receive Best of Show for the quick paint and 2nd place for the main event!!
I’m looking forward to a few weeks at home to build more frames, camp with family and friends, and prep for the Door County Plein Air Festival in late July! ☀️
