Virtual Workshop for Plaza Art Materials

On April 9th, I was invited to teach a virtual 2 hour painting workshop for Plaza Art Materials using Richeson's Casein Paint. I enjoyed sharing some of my experience in using Casein and how it compares to other water soluble opaque paint like Gouache or Egg Tempera. The students that registered for the class shared some engaging questions that I appreciated. Here's the free YouTube recording of my class.

Here's a better look at my table setup. The original painting is seen on the top of my easel. I used a small amount of Cadmium Yellow Medium with the palette that was also used during the demonstration. It's helpful to see where one color can make a difference in the properties of chroma or intensity of my palette. I'm honored that Plaza and Richeson invited me to lead one of their popular virtual classes. It was a great experience and I hope you enjoy the video.
