About this class: This private class is designed for students who are interested in learning the relative concepts of color theory, or those struggling to understand why the colors in their work isn't looking how they intend it to. The methods and information covered in this hands on class can be applied to drawing, painting, photography, mosaic, sculpture, and other media that involve materials with properties of color. Over two 5 hour classes we'll look at examples of art made using various concepts in color theory. We'll take what we've learned from my prepared slideshow and examples to create a few exercises using colored pencils, colored paper (provided), and oil paint (provided). We will be focused on comprehending the information more than striving to create a finished work of art/product. The information covered in this class will provided students of all levels with a reliable system for understanding how to harness the power of color in their future work.
We will meet for each session in my public studio on the 3rd floor of The Arts Mill in Grafton, WI.
