Private Class (Two Students Max)

Dates: March 21 - 22

  • Saturday 10 - 3:30 pm
  • Sunday 10 - 3:30 pm

Total of 10 Hours of Private Instruction and Feedback. 30 minute lunch breaks scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.

About this class: This private class is designed for students looking to gain a better understanding of the principles of design and how to see underlying armatures when composing your drawings or paintings. We will study examples of dynamic composition from historical paintings and supplemental slides that I've prepared. We'll take those concepts and methods to apply towards various drawing and collage exercises. This class is focused on learning processes rather than trying to create a refined product. My goal is that each student feels better equipped to continue their practice of composition while building on the foundation of approaches learned in the class.

We will meet for each session in my public studio on the 3rd floor of The Arts Mill in Grafton, WI.
