This painting was made during the 2023 PleinAirTexas festival in San Angelo, TX. I was drawn to an auto junk yard on the northeast side of the city. When I saw these stacked cars I had to paint them! The decrepid shapes and textures of their exposed insides were so interesting to paint. I also enjoyed capturing the stark backlit effect of the afternoon with a limited split complementary palette. 
 
This painting is currently unvarnished (will be suitable for varnish if desired after April 2024). Will ship wrapped in plastic in a cardboard box.
