What a week! On Monday I drove 8 hrs to Morris, MN so I could teach my university painting class in person. While I was there I led a few demos for building canvases, frames, stretching canvas, using mediums, and painting. It was a busy week but meeting my students and fellow professors in person was amazing! And on Thursday I attended the Senior Show and celebrated the work of one of my students.

I left early Friday morning so that I could make a pit stop at the Minneapolis Institute of Art where I’ve never been. I only had two hours but managed to see most of the paintings on the third floor. I’ll definitely be back in the fall to view them again and check out the other rooms.

I arrived in Watertown, WI Friday evening to celebrate my nephew MJ’s 3rd bday. Although, my brother Tony and I had to leave the party early to head to Grand Rapids Saturday morning to celebrate our buddy Ryan’s engagement to his now fiancée Jess!! It was so much fun celebrating their love with some of our other close friends.

Now I’m back in Cedarburg sitting on my couch ready to start a productive week in the studio tomorrow! Thanks for reading and have a lovely night 😊
